Эх, сам исправил, совесть непозволила "скрысить" решение :-)

Короче дело в недостающем макросе AM_GCONF_SOURCE_2, он входит в комплект gconf

у меня Mandriva 2007, решил проблему установки этой (gconf) rpm-ки и ещё там куча целая тянулась за ней....
